Biography
I am a self taught artist who specializes in illustration with a focus on fashion. My work also includes graphic design, logos, front end web design and flash animation.
Being an illustrator and designer was never the original plan. However, my father was an architect and I grew up in a household that had a dining set based on Eero Saarinen's iconic Tulip chair & table. So I suppose it was only a matter of time.
I attended Richard Stockton College, where I earned my B.S. in Applied Physics in 1991. During my time there I honed my skills designing graphics for my band deardarkhead and was often mistaken for an art major!
After working at various record stores, a few screen printers and an IT company, I decided to try my hand at illustration. In 1999 I sent out my first promotional postcard. Encouraged by the overwhelmingly positive feedback, I soldiered on and have never looked back. Since then, my illustrations have been published in books and magazines internationally. I have produced a wide range of work for clients in various areas of advertising, publishing, fashion, and music.
My biggest sources of inspiration include: music, fashion, cinema, architecture, modernism, furniture design, all things British, Japanese culture and pop culture in general.
I currently live near the shore in the Atlantic City, New Jersey area. In my spare time I like to roam the streets of Philadelphia and pursue la dolce vita.
